So pleased to be part of Punanimation, the first directory of women, trans and non-binary people working in animation and motion graphics! This gif was repurposed from another project and adjusted to fit in solidarity for this rad community.
Dusting off some old stop-motion animation skills with clay and some stuff lying around the studio. So fun!
Scratching the itch to roll up little balls of clay and stitch wire through them.
My friend Sunny's bday was coming up. To gift her a sun-shaped mineral, I wanted to make a box with the word "duck," because her Korean name is "Sun-Duck." Get it?
Scrounged up some materials lying around - duck tape, paper, wire to hold the mineral down, a dot sticker to leave a tiny message, yellow kraft paper and an old box - to make this duck-faced gift box.
Sometimes I put my business socks on and pop up a shop selling my hoodies. Had the pleasure of serving up some Toasties at the Facebook HQ pop-up shop space. Loved their simple wooden boxes in incremental sizes!
To celebrate my friend and Toasty Time business partner Cindy's bday, I looked for ideas on her son's Instagram page full of his amazing drawings. These Valentine cards with " 👁️ ❤️ U " was so awesome and simple I had a lot of fun embroidering the design onto a knitted sweater. Made a "Les Garçons des Cindy" label to honor her sons and in reference to "Comme des Garçons."
I'm quite pleased with myself how cozy I got this little Brooklyn bedroom to feel. With bare boned floors, cage-like window gates, permanent ceiling light fixtures that I didn't want to use, I got a bunch of curtain rods, brackets and curtains from Ikea to cover it all up and got it what my friend Woody called, "Insane Asylum Chic."
